01 / BUILD LOG 033
The original development record
A first standalone Rook's Perch prototype is available as rooks_perch.py. It creates a small borderless always-on-top Windows desktop window with a raven emoji, periodic local Mini-Rook /health status, draggable positioning, click-to-open The Nest, and right-click Exit. It remains deliberately separate from the PWA and backend; it does not observe the screen, collect data, automate clicks, request microphone access or introduce network listeners.
Verified on Fury: Python syntax PASS, tkinter import PASS. The creator shared a desktop screenshot confirming the floating raven window and its 'Rook is awake' state, and confirmed clicking it successfully opens The Nest. The creator subsequently confirmed dragging the window and right-click exit both work correctly. The prototype is opt-in and is NOT auto-started by Rook Keeper.
Status: READY TO PUBLISH — FULL DESKTOP USER ACCEPTANCE PASS. Chapter VIII — The Nest.
