MINI-ROOK / BUILD LOG 012

Giving the Quality Gate a Proper Desk

An inline review report replaces the browser alert

INLINE REVIEW PANEL · HUMAN-OBSERVED PASS. Adapted from the project development record BUILD_LOG_012.md. Results describe the recorded checkpoint; publishing this article adds no new runtime test.

TECHNICAL CHECKPOINT

What this build actually records.

Stack and method
Saved Growth draft cards · inline quality report · product, findings, warnings and ruleset
Recorded progress
Human browser test observes the inline report on two problematic drafts; JavaScript/Python syntax pass.
Still open at this checkpoint
Mobile layout, broader claim coverage and draft prose quality; no automatic posting.

Software development on an existing workstation. This entry does not establish a new robot, custom hardware build or autonomous publishing capability.

TEST STATUS / SEPARATE FROM THE ORIGINAL RECORD

What later checks established.

JavaScript and Python syntax checks passed. A subsequent human browser test observed the inline report inside saved Growth draft cards, with blocking findings and manual-review warnings separated for two problematic CharacterForge drafts. The earlier approval-blocking scenario remains the separate result documented in Log 011.

Still open: Responsive mobile layout and broader claim coverage remain unverified. A separate generation test still produced self-evaluation notes and unsafe marketing assertions; displaying the report does not certify the prose. Approval remains deliberate, and nothing posts automatically.

01 / BUILD LOG 012

The original development record

The Quality Gate's first human test successfully blocked approval of an incorrect CharacterForge post. However, its results appeared in a browser alert box instead of an actual editorial review interface.

We have now implemented a dedicated inline report inside each saved Growth draft. It displays the detected product, blocking findings, manual-review warnings, the current ruleset identifier and a reminder that rule-based checks cannot guarantee factual accuracy. Unsaved text is explicitly flagged so the operator does not accidentally review an old saved version.

Verified so far: JavaScript syntax (node --check) PASS; Python syntax (py_compile) PASS. The previous user test demonstrated a specific approval-blocking scenario. A subsequent human browser test confirmed that the inline panel renders inside saved draft cards and lists separate blocking findings and manual-review warnings for two problematic CharacterForge drafts. Responsive mobile layout and broader claim coverage remain unverified. Another content-generation test exposed an unrelated limitation: the local model includes self-evaluation notes and unsafe marketing assertions in draft prose; this is tracked separately.

Nothing posts automatically; content approval remains a deliberate user action.

Status: READY TO PUBLISH — inline review panel human-observed PASS, other coverage incomplete. Preserve previous build log URLs and chronology; Chapter V — The Quality Gate.
