MINI-ROOK / BUILD LOG 011
A Quality Gate That Checks Before Approval
Evidence-aware draft checks and a human-tested approval block
TECHNICAL CHECKPOINT
What this build actually records.
- Stack and method
- quality.py · curated product profiles · keyword/regex checks · server approval gate
- Recorded progress
- Human browser test: misleading product draft flagged and Approve blocked. Syntax and synthetic examples checked.
- Still open at this checkpoint
- Adversarial, persistence and automated regressions; no comprehensive factual guarantee or posting integration.
Software development on an existing workstation. This entry does not establish a new robot, custom hardware build or autonomous publishing capability.
TEST STATUS / SEPARATE FROM THE ORIGINAL RECORD
What later checks established.
A human browser test submitted an intentionally incorrect CharacterForge desktop-cleaner draft. Check claims reported missing character, quest or worldbuilding identity, and the server blocked Approve. This is a PASS for that specific scenario. Python/JavaScript syntax and curated synthetic examples were also checked.
Still open: Broader adversarial cases, persistence and automated regressions remain unverified. Keyword/regex rules and curated profiles do not provide comprehensive fact or legal verification. Approval remains human initiated; no posting or mailing integration exists.
01 / BUILD LOG 011
The original development record
The Mini-Rook marketing workflow previously relied on a small collection of forbidden phrases. This iteration introduces a separate evidence-aware `quality.py` module that checks marketing copy against known product identities, selected risky claim categories, and known destination URLs. The publishing profile points CharacterForge to https://www.rookweld.com/characterforge, while individual download and add-on offers still require verification.
New behavior: `Check claims` in the Growth draft editor requests a review report. The backend also checks rewritten copy before saving it, and rejects editorial approval when blocking findings remain. Existing approval remains human initiated; no posting or mailing integration exists.
The new module is deliberately conservative and incomplete. Its flags are keyword and regular-expression checks plus a curated product profile, not comprehensive semantic claim verification or legal review. Tests confirmed Python and JavaScript syntax, zero blocking findings for a simple known-product example, and detection of problems in a deliberately misleading CharacterForge desktop-cleaner pitch. A subsequent human browser test submitted an intentionally incorrect CharacterForge desktop-cleaner draft, clicked Check claims, and attempted approval. Check claims reported that the draft did not mention characters, quests or worldbuilding; the server blocked Approve as intended. This is a PASS for that specific approval-blocking scenario, not proof that all false product claims are caught. The reported review warning still required human verification. Broader adversarial, persistence and automated regression coverage remain pending.
Status: READY TO PUBLISH — scenario-level human acceptance PASS; broader quality verification incomplete. Do not claim fully automated fact verification.
